HISTORY
Jones & Zwiener, Inc. has successfully managed projects of all sizes. A majority of our field projects have been in the major producing basins in Texas. However, we have also managed projects in other parts of the country including Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado and Wyoming.
Field Land Services
Jones & Zwiener has been heavily involved in managing the field operations for numerous 3-D seismic projects in South Texas, East Texas and the Texas Gulf Coast area. Since our first 3-D project in 1987, Jones & Zwiener has acquired options and permits covering hundreds of thousands of acres leading to the successful completion of 3-D projects all over Texas.
In the last fifteen (15) years, Jones & Zwiener has actively handled multiple lease checks, lease acquisitions and drillsite title projects in numerous shale plays in West Virginia (Marcellus), West Texas (in the Cline, the Penn, the Wolfberry and the Wolfbone), East Texas (in the Haynesville-Bossier and the Eaglebine), South Texas (in the Eagle Ford and the Pearsall), and North Texas (in the Barnett). We have handled similar projects in shale plays in other states, including the Bakken the Utica and the Niobrara. We have leased over 300,000 acres and rendered over 250 title runsheets in shale plays. In addition to handling the lease checks, lease acquisitions and title runsheets, Jones & Zwiener has also prepared and negotiated multiple Production Sharing Agreements that facilitated the drilling of horizontal wells in those shale plays.
Due Diligence / In House
Jones & Zwiener has a long and impressive record with Acquisition and Divestiture due diligence projects. Our first due diligence projects in the late 1980s were for smaller independent operators that were acquiring non-core assets from large independents and major oil companies. Jones & Zwiener helped numerous clients successfully acquire, assimilate and operate properties in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Since 1987 Jones & Zwiener has facilitated the acquisition of multiple producing properties and associated undeveloped acreage in numerous transactions ranging in value from $1,000,000 to $900,000,000. After Closing, some of our clients have relied on Jones & Zwiener to manage their company’s land administration function, including lease administration and division orders. In 2010, Jones & Zwiener, Inc. was hired by a start-up company to assist in acquiring production and new leases in a growing shale play in South Texas. We conducted lease checks that lead to the acquisition of forty thousand (40,000) acres of new leases and producing properties. Jones & Zwiener subsequently handled the title runsheets and title curative to facilitate the drilling of over forty (40) additional wells. We assisted with the opening of a Houston office for that company and staffed and managed all of the company’s Land Administration and Division Order responsibilities from 2010 until the sale of the company in 2014.
As stated above, Jones & Zwiener, Inc., places great emphasis on incorporating the latest available technology into their work methods to improve work quality and minimize turnaround time. Using the latest available tools, our team is capable of producing any type of map for any project and formatting the reporting to whatever the client requires. In addition, we maximize the use of available on-line record research to expedite and supplement our on-ground courthouse research.
Jones & Zwiener, Inc. fully understands the importance of having the job done right – the first time.
