KEY PERSONNEL

Douglas G. Jones, CPL and William F. Zwiener, CPL, formed a company in 1987 to provide professional land services to the oil and gas industry. They have worked extensively in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas. They also have experience in West Virginia, North Dakota, Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Michigan.

Douglas G. Jones, CPL

Douglas G. Jones graduated in 1978 from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management. He started his career as a Landman with Cities Service Oil & Gas Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After moving to Houston in 1980 with Cities Service, Doug was hired by Cotton Petroleum Corporation in Houston in 1981. Then, in 1984, Doug accepted an offer to become the Land Manager of Bayleaf, Ltd., a start up oil and gas exploration company. In October, 1987, Doug and his partner, Bill Zwiener, formed Jones & Zwiener, Inc. and began providing professional land services to the oil and gas industry including lease acquisition, title runsheet preparation, title curative, mapping and due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures. Doug has 40 plus years of experience in all phases of the oil and gas land business.

William F. Zwiener, CPL

William A. Pruitt, RPL

William A. (Bill) Pruitt has 39 years of experience in the oil business as a landman covering 10 states and several hundred counties. Bill P. is versatile with experiences including large & small project field crew supervision, acquisition & divestiture due diligence, lease acquisition, drilling title runsheet preparation & curative, water flood area title preparation & curative, division order reconciliations and landman training. Bill P. is experienced as an expert witness. Bill P. has been an active member of AAPL since 1988 and is a member of APLA.

Dwight J Dunlap, III, RPL

Dwight J Dunlap, III started abstracting in title plants after class while attending high school in Houston, TX and through college at Texas A&M University pursuing a degree in Business Management. After a few years in corporate real estate and retail management, Dwight found his calling in East Texas as a Landman for Jones & Zwiener. Since 2006, Dwight has been running title, buying leases, engaging in project management and due diligence across Texas and Louisiana. In 2016, Dwight pursued an opportunity as manager of the Oil and Gas Division at CourthouseDirect.com. As a resident Landman, he handled title research, business development and product development for energy sector clientele. In 2018, Dwight rejoined J&Z excelling at title research, lease acquisitions, due diligence, GIS mapping and project management. Dwight has 15 plus years experience in the oil and gas land business.
